Live and Let Die. Sean Connery was done with Bond and there was a push by the studio have the next actor be an American, while the producers pushed back, saying that Bond was British and would stay that way. So who would become the next iteration of this character and what would be his place in this every changing world which we live in, would have to be figured out quickly to keep the franchise alive. The Wolverine. The breakout character from the first X-Men movie was clearly Wolverine and because of this he was explored in the dismal X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
